It's been a while since the last time I surfed Pounders. It was a good change of pace after surfing reef spots for pretty much a year straight now. After all the beat-downs, though, at Yokes and Maili Point lately, Pounders isn't quite as menacing as it used to seem. But make no mistake, the water is in the sinuses and the sand is firmly planted in the butt crack and ears - and even a little in my eyes from trying to get the shots below...
Good times, just like old times. Thanks Ryan, it was good to hang and get worked together! (Sorry bro, I tried my best to get some sick ones of you - the sickest one is probably of that guy on the red board who I've never met before in my life!)
